Orange County Naturalization Lawyer

Helping Clients Worldwide Obtain United States Citizenship

If you have been a lawful permanent resident (green card holder) of the United States for at least five years, or if you meet certain requirements for a waiver of the five-year residency requirement, you may be eligible to become a naturalized U.S. citizen.

I am Richard M. Green, an Orange County naturalization attorney serving clients in Southern California and worldwide. My practice has been primarily dedicated to immigration law for more than a decade, and I can offer you skilled guidance through the naturalization process.

Handling Both Simple and Complex Naturalization Cases

If you have resided and been physically present in the U.S. as a green card holder for the past five years; have not gotten into any trouble with the law during that time; can speak, read and write in English; and can demonstrate a knowledge of U.S. history, civics and government, you should not have any problems with the naturalization process, though the assistance of an experienced lawyer is always beneficial.

In addition to helping clients with these relatively straightforward applications, I also pursue naturalization applications for clients with more complex circumstances, including the following:

  • Religious workers, U.S. military service members and their family members who qualify for waivers of the physical presence or residency requirements;
  • Individuals with criminal histories who need assistance in demonstrating their good moral character; and

  • Individuals who have medical conditions that prevent them from demonstrating knowledge of English, U.S. history or civics.

I also help individuals who have become U.S. citizens by operation of law acquire evidence of citizenship without going through the naturalization process. This includes individuals whose parents were naturalized while they were minor children and others who have acquired citizenship through their parents or grandparents.
